Background
Wegovy® and Ozempic® are FDA-approved semaglutide products from Novo Nordisk A/S. Wegovy® is indicated for chronic weight management in adults with obesity or overweight with at least one weight-related condition; in the STEP-1 pivotal trial, participants on Wegovy® lost an average of ~14.9% of body weight at 68 weeks alongside lifestyle intervention (NEJM, 2021).

Mounjaro® is indicated for type 2 diabetes. Pallas dispenses both through US-licensed pharmacies on a cash-pay basis; insurance routing is not currently supported. Eligibility is determined by a licensed clinician.
Semaglutide and tirzepatide are also available in compounded form, prepared on a per-patient basis by US-licensed compounding pharmacies under §503A when a clinician determines a brand-name product is not clinically appropriate for a specific patient.
Compounded preparations are not FDA-approved, are not generic versions of Wegovy®, Ozempic®, Zepbound®, or Mounjaro®, and have not been evaluated by the FDA for safety, efficacy, or quality. Outcomes observed in the pivotal trials of the FDA-approved products listed above have not been clinically established for compounded preparations.

Everything you need to know.
Answers on how Pallas works, what's included, and what to expect from treatment.
Complete a short health questionnaire, get matched with a US-licensed provider who reviews your information and (where clinically appropriate) writes a prescription, and receive medication shipped directly from a US-licensed pharmacy. The entire process is online — no office visits required.
Pallas offers both compounded GLP-1s and FDA-approved brand-name GLP-1s. Compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide are prepared on a per-patient basis by US-licensed compounding pharmacies when a licensed provider determines they are clinically appropriate. 503A pharmacies are licensed and inspected by state boards of pharmacy, and 503B outsourcing facilities are registered with and inspected by the FDA under current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) standards. While these facilities are subject to regulatory oversight, the compounded medications themselves are not FDA-approved products, are not generic versions of brand-name drugs (such as Ozempic®, Wegovy®, Mounjaro®, or Zepbound®), and have not been evaluated by the FDA for safety, efficacy, or quality. Pallas also dispenses FDA-approved brand-name Wegovy®, Ozempic®, Zepbound®, and Mounjaro® through US-licensed pharmacies on a cash-pay basis when clinically appropriate.
Outcomes vary by individual and depend on starting weight, adherence, dose, lifestyle, and other clinical factors; outcomes are not guaranteed. The FDA-approved products Wegovy® (Novo Nordisk) and Zepbound® (Eli Lilly) have published Phase 3 trial data, but those results were observed with the FDA-approved products studied in the trials and have not been clinically established for compounded medications.
No insurance required. Pallas operates outside of insurance for simpler, more affordable, and more accessible care — all plans are cash-pay and not billed to insurance. Compounded semaglutide injection is $269/month, oral semaglutide is $299/month, and tirzepatide injection is $359/month. FDA-approved brand-name GLP-1s are also available — Wegovy® and Ozempic® (semaglutide) and Zepbound® and Mounjaro® (tirzepatide) — from $1,069/month. Quarterly bundles are available on compounded plans, and everything is included — provider visits, medication, and free shipping.
Reported side effects of GLP-1 medications include nausea, constipation, diarrhea, vomiting, abdominal pain, and headache. These typically subside within the first few weeks. Serious side effects can include pancreatitis, gallbladder disease, kidney injury, and allergic reactions. See our full safety information for the FDA boxed warning regarding thyroid C-cell tumors. Your provider will guide you through dose titration and monitor for side effects.

Pallas care is delivered by Lion MD, a nationwide team of US-licensed medical professionals, in partnership with CareValidate, our clinical-operations platform. Our medical leadership — Dr. Ana Lisa Carr, MD (NPI: 1689841744) and Dr. Kelly Tenbrink, MD (NPI: 1346482684) — and their licensure are posted publicly on our clinical disclosures page at pallashealth.co/clinical, where each NPI links to the federal NPPES NPI Registry for independent verification. Every prescribing provider holds an active license in the state or jurisdiction where the patient is located, and each patient also receives their assigned provider's name and license information before a prescription is issued.
